Lasers have revolutionized many areas of treatment and leg veins are no exception. We have been using laser to treat veins for the past 5 years and have had excellent results. We use the Cutera Coolglide Xeo which is a long pulsed neodymium yittrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser. This particular laser was the first to develop enough energy deep in the tissues to effectively treat leg veins. Other types of lasers exist that treat veins but they are almost universally sub-par. Pulsed-dye, Q-switched Nd:YAG, KTP lasers do not work effectively on leg veins and often leave behind more problems than they solve. We are constantly proving the effectiveness of the Cutera Coolglide Xeo with great results.
