JUVÉDERM® FAQ's

What is the treatment like?

The JUVÉDERM® treatment is minimally invasive, quick and relatively painless. We’ll begin by cleansing your face and applying a numbing cream to keep discomfort to a minimum. The injections themselves all contain lidocaine to further reduce discomfort levels. Once the area is numb, your provider will administer the injections into strategically chosen locations on your face. The whole treatment should be over in about 15 minutes.

When will I see my results?

The results from dermal fillers are noticeable almost immediately. That’s because the gel-like substance used in this treatment provides instant volumization. However, it may take two weeks for the product to fully “settle” into the surrounding tissues and for your final results to become noticeable.

How long does JUVÉDERM® last?

Different JUVÉDERM® products have different durations. However, you can expect your results to last at least six to eight months. Thicker formulations generally provide even longer-lasting results of 18 months and longer.

Can I get BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM® at the same time?

Yes! It’s completely safe and very common to get BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM® injections within the same session. This will allow you to receive treatment on both the upper and lower parts of your face for global facial rejuvenation.

Are there any side effects I should know about?

Because JUVÉDERM® contains a substance that’s an analog to what your skin already produces, it is generally well-tolerated. However, minor bruising, redness and pain can happen following treatment. Being treated by an experienced and qualified aesthetic provider should keep side effects to a minimum.
