Upneeq®

If your eyes are sagging or always look “sleepy,” you may have blepharoptosis, also known as acquired ptosis, low-lying lids or droopy lids caused by aging or disease affecting the levator muscle or nerve. Until now, it’s typically been treated with surgical procedures called ptosis repair or blepharoplasty or with Botox.

Dr. Leonardo Rasi at Senza might be able to help you with the newest, noninvasive solution by prescribing Upneeq, the only FDA-approved once-daily eyedrop that lifts your upper eyelids to open your eyes, available in our Redlands office. Call (909) 254-4692 to learn more.

Why Choose Upneeq?

Blepharoptosis impacts people of all ages but is most prevalent with increased age. This gradual drooping of eyelids typically occurs when the muscles in the eyelid stretch and weaken, eventually causing the upper eyelid to hang down over the iris. This can vary from mild to severe, impacting your field of vision.

If your symptoms are acquired over time and cause a partial lack of sight, then Upneeq may be able to lift droopy lids that affect your vision and give you a “sleepy” or “tired” appearance.

Your condition may not hinder you immediately, but it makes daily actions increasingly tricky as it becomes more and more challenging to open your lids. If you’re dealing with blepharoptosis, you’re probably searching for a solution. But blepharoplasty surgery isn’t for everyone, with its risks and prolonged recovery, while Botox may not be effective enough in your case.
