Laser Resurfacing

This is the quickest way to get a beautiful correction of sun damaged skin in a single treatment.  This laser treatment removes a precise layer of tissue that is replaced with healthy glowing skin.  There is down-time with this procedure which is typically 4-7 days depending on the level of laser treatment performed.  We offer two different types of Laser resurfacing:  CO2 and Pearl.  The most common laser resurfacing treatment is the miniPearl treatment.  It is easily tolerated without anesthetic and produces gentle flaking for 3-5 days.  Patients get the benefit of removing some outer layers of skin and the collagen stimulation from the heat of the laser.  The Pearl laser treatment can also be performed more aggressively for patients with more sun damage and that requires 4-5 days of healing.  The recovery is not painful – you just look a little funny.  Laser resurfacing can be used aggressively for deeper rejuvenation or more gently for maintenance.
