Selphyl is a new way of treating volume loss in the face. Instead of injecting a synthetic gel we draw your blood (vampire) and separate the plasma + platelets from the red blood cells and re-inject the platelet rich plasma into the face. We are going to have our first lunchtime seminar which is highlighting a new treatment for stretch marks. If I had a nickel for every person that has asked me for a treatment for stretchmarks…..well I think this is the best treatment on the market today. The Smartskin Fractional CO2 laser makes tiny dots of injury to the scar tissue in the stretch mark and then the skin heals with new good collagen that replaces the damaged scar of the stretchmark. So far we have been pleased with the response from our patients. A few are thrilled with it and tell us that they will never go back to Botox. Several patients have reported a softer appearance than when the used Botox but I am not sure what to attribute that to. All in all, we are happy with it and continue to see Dysport becoming more and more popular.
